What a way to start our season! 49-7 Mississippi State...I love the way that sounds. We had an amazing time at our first tailgate AND game! The food, the people, the weather and the game all turned out perfectly for our first game. Let's pray we get that same combination for the rest of the season!
Let's discuss the Auburn game...
Kick-off is at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, September 9. This game is a Maroon Out, so wear your maroon! I don't know about you, but I was pretty impressed with all the people that turned out in their white shirts. I barely saw anyone that wasn't dressed in white!
According to campus rules, we can start setting up our tailgate at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday. So, I am sure we will be out there before that time in order to get our spot!
As for the food, we have ordered Grilled BBQ Chicken for 30 from McArthur Hall. Someone correct me if I am wrong, but I think we have that set up to be delivered to our tailgate at 3 p.m. Everyone else, bring sides or whatever to go along with that.
Bob bought a new and bigger generator this year with 4 electrical outlets, so we do have capabilities to run crock pots if needed. This might open up a few new food ideas for the season.
We will see everyone in 4 short days!

P.S. Those of you that normally reply to our posts, could you please reply and let the others know how you do it. I talked to a few people who were confused on how to reply. I would give instructions, but since I am the creator, I have a feeling that my way of doing it is a little different. Thanks!
Also, if you know of anyone who wants to get this blog, give me their email address! To see all the images in this blog, go to http://www.bulldogeats.blogspot.com/.

ReplyDeleteAnybody have the recipe for an asian slaw that was brought to last year's Florida game? I've had someone ask who was a visitor that day and would love to have the recipe.
ReplyDeleteHere's the Asian slaw receipe I use:
ReplyDeletemix together:
1 pkg ramen noodles uncooked (break them up)
1 pkg coleslaw mix
1/2 cup sliced almonds
1/2 cup sunflower seeds
3 green onions-chopped
Toss above w/dressing:
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1/2 cup sugar
1/3 cup white wine vinegar
flavor packet from noodles
Cover, let marinate in the frig. for at least 2 hours before serving.
